The Anatomy of a Ring: An Intensive Studio Workshop
Saturdays in March / 10 AM- 1 PM / West Kensington, Philadelphia / 5 Seats Available
Join me this March at my private West Kensington Studio for a hands-on immersion into the jeweler’s bench.
With a strict limit of only 5 students, you will receive dedicated one-on one mentorship as we deconstruct and rebuild the architecture of a ring. This workshop provides a comprehensive foundation in jewelry making, balancing technical training with creative discovery. Whether you are picking up a saw for the first time or looking to expand your existing knowledge, together we will master the mechanics of the bench while exploring your own artistic expression.
Level:
Open to all. No prior experience is necessary, though experience students looking to refine their technique are welcome.
Workshop Fee: $385
Material Fee: $25 (Covers silver, brass, bronze, and stones-collected at the first session)
Master the art of lost-wax casting. This four-week intermediate intensive focuses on the technical integration of organic wax carving and precision stone setting. Over the course of three weeks, students will develop ring forms using additive and subtractive techniques, specifically designing seats and bezels for unique stone geometries. The final session is dedicated to cleaning up metal castings, technical stone setting, and final polishing.
